My name is Abbie (Rice) Harvey, I am happily married to my husband Nick and we have 3 children, Jaxson, Tyson, and Leah.  I have been a certified personal trainer for 5 years and have focused solely on training/instructing for the past 3 years.  I am also certified in pre/post natal exercise and nutrition counseling.  I am passionate about fitness and nutrition but also personal wellness and happiness.

My own path to fitness and nutrition was a little bumpy.  As a child I was overweight, had bad eating habits, was inactive, and struggled with undiagnosed depression.  As I began high school and started playing competitive sports (getting active) and working on portion control I lost weight.  I graduated high school strong, active, and healthy.

Then I started college, freshman 15 right?  Not me!  My passion for the weight room began in college.  That passion soon turned to obsession and I struggled with body image issues, anorexia, and bulimia.  That lasted about 18 months but luckily without any intervention I got healthy again.  I still struggle with those issues daily but have chosen that they won’t defeat me.  By then end of college I was again healthy, active, and now married.

Then real life came along.  In my first few years of having a “real job” and then a child my fitness slacked a bit as life got in the way.  A few months before I got pregnant with my second child I rediscovered my passion for working out and that is when I decided to get certified as a personal trainer.  I wanted a job that I could share my passion and that I could be proud of.  After my 2nd child I quit my full time job to focus on my kids and my training career.  5 years later and one more kiddo I have never looked back.

"I have really learned so much from working with Abbie.  She has such a realistic outlook on fitness...work smarter, not necessarily longer and that life is all about balance.  She has helped me to lose weight, gain muscle, and rebuild confidence in myself and my body.  Abbie is knowledgeable and creative in her workouts. She pushes me along in a positive yet supportive way.
